Located in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan, the Job Winslow Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is a vibrant organization of more than 100 women dedicated to historic preservation, education, patriotism, and community service.

Since our founding in 1914, our chapter has proudly carried forward the DAR mission through meaningful programs, volunteer service, and a shared appreciation for our nation's heritage.

Our members actively support veterans and military families, preserve local history, promote educational opportunities, and participate in patriotic and community service initiatives throughout Northwest Michigan.

Are you interested in discovering your Revolutionary War ancestry?

Our chapter welcomes women who are interested in exploring their family history and learning more about DAR membership. Through genealogical workshops, research assistance, and personal guidance, we help prospective members begin their journey toward discovering their patriot ancestors.

We welcome guests and prospective members to our chapter meetings and activities. Chapter Meetings are generally held on the third Saturday morning of the month, March through December.

Membership Eligibility

Any woman 18 years of age or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal (bloodline) descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to apply for membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).
